Our Plans
We already provide our financial assistance clients with a budgeting class. But, we want to, and we need to, expand our offerings. After all, it is in our mission statement!
"To serve the residents of Canyon Lake by providing vital social service resources as well as life-enriching recreational and educational opportunities."
We want to offer diet and nutrition classes, for folks who are dealing with chronic illness, as well as for families who might need to know how to avoid some diseases, such as diabetes.
We want to provide cooking classes for our clients, using the items that we have in stock in the food pantry. Healthy, cost-effective meals can be made when you know what ingredients you're working with.
We also want to work with some other agencies to host classes on job applications, creating resumes, interviewing and dressing for work.
